Before You Commit

Typical timing is same day for stocked items; 1–3 weeks for custom or fitted gear. Ask:

• Which standard is this item certified to (for example ANSI Z87.1, ANSI Z89.1 or NIOSH approval)?
• Can you show the certification marking on the product?
• Do you offer respirator fit testing or harness inspection?
• What is the shelf life or replacement date?
• Do you offer account pricing or a site vending program?

Tips

• Start from your written hazard assessment, then buy to it, not the other way round.
• Check the marking on the item itself: eye protection rated for impact carries a Z87+ mark.
• Buy several sizes of gloves and harnesses, because gear that does not fit does not get worn.
